The attenuator system is a compact 8-axis filter-holder fully compliant with UHV requirements.

Each filter is inserted independently into the beam path using magnetic coupling. The pneumatic actuators moving the magnets are located outside the vacuum chamber.

Two sensors indicate the actual status of each filter (in or out) and not only the pneumatic actuator positions.

IRELEC proposes this equipment with a license agreement with the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF).
